Consignment Based Conformity Assessment Regulations (Revision)

Summary

  • The Compulsory Standards Act No. 3 of 2017 provides for the appointment of Conformity Assessment providers to inspect and test products on behalf of the Agency. This provision has been used on a Pre-Shipment inspection scheme for used Motor Vehicles since 2009. The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency proposes to extend the program to include other goods.
